MECC Home Craft Days — October 20-22, 2017 at Mountain Empire Community College.


PV Shindig Big Blue Block Party on October 21, 2017 at the Big Stone Gap Visitor Center. Special performance by Tyler Hughes at 6pm. Activities will include square dances, cake walks, live music, inflatables, cornhole tournament, games, fire pits, regional beer/wine selections and much more!


Halloween Carnival – October 31, 2017 from 5pm-8pm at Bullitt Park. Haunted Pavilion, candy, cake walks, games and much more!


Winter Jubilee at The Big Stone Gap Visitor Center – Wednesday, December 6th at 7pm. A new musical experience by Sam Gleaves, Tyler Hughes, Hasee Ciaccio, and Emily Mann is coming to Big Stone Gap. This Appalachian holiday performance will take place at 7:00 pm with a concert, followed by a square dance with an open band (so bring your instruments!!). Admission is FREE, but canned goods and non-perishable food is requested to be donated to the Big Stone Gap Food Bank. This event is sponsored by Stacy’s Auto Advantage, Community Motors, Bennett and Edwards Realty, and the Town of Big Stone Gap.


Big Stone Gap Visitor Center Craft & Sip on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 5:30pm. Cost is $25 and includes all materials and light refreshments. Proudly serving local MountainRose Vineyard wine.


Greenbelt in Light Fun Run – Saturday, December 16th at 7pm starting and ending at the Big Stone Gap Visitor Center. Join us for a fun night for the family. This event is a fundraiser for the Big Stone Gap Dog Park. Fun Run is one lap around greenbelt. Top 3 will win coffee mug from The Ugly Mug. Registration is $20 and includes and t-shirt, while supplies last. The Family Walk – Bring your family members, including your leashed pets, and take a stroll through the lights. Entry fee is a donation to the Dog Park.


JINGLE AND MINGLE on Tuesday, December 19th from 6pm-9pm at the Big Stone Gap Visitor Center. Train rides with Santa along the Greenbelt in Lights and a special showing of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Be sure to wear your pajamas and bring a blanket!
